Global Resource Service's New CampaignProject TEN Update After returning from my 45th trip to the DPRK, I wanted to update you on "Project Ten," formerly referred to as the "10-10-10 Project." You will remember, in celebration of 10 years of service in the DPRK (North Korea), Global Resource Services wanted to launch a new campaign. During our recent work in the DPRK we were able to fine tune this program with our partners. While we are still moving forward with the original plans, we have revised some of the projected dates, the scope of the work, and the long-term goals. The GRS model embodies three main principals of relationships, respect, and reconciliation. With current on-going projects already in four areas, we are excited to expand our long term commitments to new communities and to continue nurturing current relationships. The total number of people directly benefiting from our immediate efforts will total over 250,000. Over the life of the program over 1 million people in North Korea will benefit from this program. You can be a part of this historical initiative.
1. $180,000 to stage, ship and distribute 10 containers to ten communities ($18,000 per container).
2. Please see the attached list of approved medical items which are needed immediately. Other lists will be developed, approved, and provided. 3. We are working to collect the resources for these ten containers by Christmas of this year. Shipping has already begun, two shipments have already been processed and shipped and we are working on a third right now. Helps us complete this initial urgent phase immediately. Our goal is to have all shipments delivered by April of 2008. 4. We want to send 10,000 children's coats. This is a symbolic gesture for our ten years of service in the DPRK which began with the 1997 Coats for Christmas project.

One significant result of our last 3 weeks working in DPRK is a joint venture program to adopt and develop 10 communities in North Korea over the next ten years. We are developing a strategic plan to identify and assess the needs of ten communities that need and desire to partner with GRS to develop their community in the areas Food Security, Health, Education, and Economic. The first community that will be a part of this program is Haepo Ri where we have developed the Soy Farm. The first priority right now is to provide a new community water well and distribution system to 650 homes that do not have water. Look for more details of how you can participate in partnering with these communities and being a part of this long term program. Over the next few months we will continue to share details about the communities and how you can be a part of this partnership. Please help us go Beyond Charity with not only a gift for now, but the gift of relationships, respect and reconciliation for the future. Robert Springs
